The City of Lowell officially launched its new website this week. The newly redesigned website projects a fresh look and feel designed to display information across a variety of platforms, including mobile devices, tablets and desktop computers.

Community outreach was the main goal of the project. The new website provides tools such as a news feed and email subscriptions. In addition, the website also helps advance the brand of the City as a welcoming lakefront community with excellent schools, low taxes, and access to many outdoor activities.

Many key features of the new website can be accessed directly from the new homepage that includes an “I Want To..." tab that takes community members directly to the information they need. Other new and improved features include the following:

  • Key Documents searchable database of documents, such as the Budget, Audit, and Water Quality Reports.
  • Agendas & Minutes searchable database for City Council and committee meetings.
  • Local Job Board for community businesses to post and job seekers to review job ads.
  • Business Listings for community businesses to share their contact information, business description, and location.
  • Parks Directory of area City, County, State and Federal parks and recreation areas.

Please check back often as staff continues to make improvements.
